About Francis Chang
Francis brings over 25 years of experience working in law and media, including as a partner in the Vancouver office of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, as Executive Vice President and General Counsel with FOX Networks Group in Asia, Australia and the Middle East and other senior roles with Twenty-First Century FOX and The Walt Disney Company. Throughout his career he has managed, mentored, coached and developed professionals who have gone on to work in senior roles at global professional services firms and companies throughout Canada, the U.S. and Asia. He and the legal teams he has led have been recognized as industry leaders by The Legal 500 and Thomson Reuters.
Francis has worked extensively with both large organizations and small not-for-profits to lead strategic change management projects and workshops in strategic planning, governance and leadership. In his role as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Fox Networks Group Asia, Francis was responsible for overseeing the global compliance policies and programs of Twenty-First Century FOX in Asia, Australia and the Middle East; this included conducting workplace assessments and investigations.
Francis is active in the not-for-profit community in various volunteer advisory and board roles, including currently serving as a Knowledge Philanthropist with Vantage Point, an Advisor with The Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation, and as a Board Director with One to One Literacy Society and the Indigenous theatre company Urban Ink. Previously, Francis served on the board of the United Way Lower Mainland for seven years, where he also chaired the Finance & Audit Committee.
Francis has a J.D. from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and an M.B.A., Finance from New York University Stern School of Business. He is also a graduate of the Excelerator Essentials Coaching Program with Essential Impact, which is recognized by the International Coaching Federation.
